I was reading That’s preview for summer and as expected, most of the shows are f*cktarded or too Shoujo for my tastes (especially the show on banning Chocolates!?). Hell, summer has always been like that man. However, there are a two shows that I wouldn’t mind investing some time in:

Strike Witches

Robo-lolis are teh win in whatever form they are proliferated in, need it be on the ground kicking the butts of no-good Italian terrorists or in the skies battling evil aliens. Sky Girls was fun, and I don’t expect Strike Witches to be much worse. The story really doesn’t matter a lick, just watch it for the robo loli moe win :)

It’ll really be too bad if Gonzo wants to debut this on Crunchy Roll as I prefer to download my fansubs.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

“Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu is set at the private high school Hakujō Academy in Japan and centers around the male protagonist Yūto Ayase and his classmate Haruka Nogizaka. While Yūto is rather ordinary, Haruka is very attractive, intelligent, and rich. Due to this, she is the school’s most unattainable girl and is so idolized that her classmates give her the French nicknames “Nuit Étoile” (The Silver Star of the Night) and “Lumière du Clavier” (The Shining Princess on the Piano). One day, Yūto’s good friend Nobunaga Asakura asks him to return a book to the school library, and when he goes to return it, Yūto stumbles across Haruka and her darkest secret — she is a diehard fan of anime, manga, and the otaku culture. Yūto promises to keep her secret hidden and in return he becomes her confidante of sorts as he accompanies her to Akihabara, and visits her home often.” -Wikipedia

Now I remembered seeing the character designs for this one somewhere and I really thought it was an eroge adaption. I was really surprised when I THAT reported that it was adapted from light novels. The character designer for the light novels are definitely on par with Noizi Itou herself. I’ll most probably be purchasing the light novels if the anime adaption is good.

Anyway, I first saw the character designs for this series from Dengeki G’s and apparently, the light novels received a visual novel adaption before the anime one, underscoring its incredible popularity in Japan. Ojou-sama X Otaku is the formula for epic win, so I’ll most probably be covering this one for summer in addition to Clannad ~After Story~ when it is released.
